Some information help required!

Hi readers of my blog,
Would like some help from you guys who are running your own business. Dont worry, I'm not asking money from you guys. I am at crossroads now in my career and have decided to make a career in publishing manga in my country.

Why did i take that decision?
Well the main reasons are manga is not available in my country normally like it is available in Japan or USA or UK or other countries where anime has a huge fan base.
I dont know the reason for this, but I know that there is a huge fan base of anime watchers and manga lovers in my country by visiting forums. And the major gripe among these forums is we do not get any anime related products here and have to pay a premium while importing them, since they get taxed at customs, etc.

Acquiring the license to publish the manga in my country would enable me to reduce costs of the manga and subsequently get a good reader base. By making available manga in bookstores and selling them online on other online shopping sites i could make the demand for anime goods increase here.

What help i require from you guys?
Well I'm new to publishing manga. First and foremost i dont know Japanese and have no way to contact any japanese publishing house to get the facts on how to acquire a license from them for my country. Also i have a lot more questions on whether i will have to translate the manga from japanese to english and such.

I dont know how many of you are in the publishing industry, so i had to take this step of writing this on my blog. If possible, if you know someone with experience in the manga industry in the US who could help me could you let me know?

Came across a site Xpango.com where you only have to complete a few offers to get a great product for free. For example you can get a Xbox 360 Elite for 20 credits. How do you get a credit?




Simple complete an offer from the free offers on the site. Well not totally free, sometimes you have to pay the shipping. But cost of owning the item is lot less compared to the total cost of shipping (in my opinion).




I signed up with some guys referral id. Dunno whether it will work since i'm trying for an iphone. iphones cost an arm and a leg here in my place and if i get it for free, it will be totally worth it. mwa ha ha.

Yeah, i know it sounds too good to be true, but you could get lucky too. No harm in trying, or lets say you wont know how deep the water is unless you jump in :)

My First Gundam Papercraft

Reading fellow otaku blogs is interesting to me. From getting to view fanart to knowing anime and all topics under the sun, otaku blogs imo, are a very good source of information.

One or two weeks back when i visited fellow otaku Kamlau's site, i read about making your own paper gundam from this post of his.

I was thinking of giving it a try just to see how difficult it would be. So I downloaded the artwork and got it printed on an A4 size plain paper. Normal printer paper is quite thin and so i stuck it onto some thick magazine cover which was lying around (looks like i just recycled something).

Cutting the artwork was easy. Joining them was easy for the bigger parts. The tiny parts were quite tiny, at around 1/2 or less of a cm. so had to use some tape to hold some parts together.







Overall it looks good (could have made him better if i had more deft hands), and the total height is just about 10 cms. Chibi gundams. lol. kept an AA cell next to it for comparison.

Also downloaded some other free anime girl models from the pepacura site gallery.
All in all it was quite fun to do this. Do give it a try if you want something to do inyour spare time.

The Scenario 138 - Rainy day

Today is a very rainy day, and luckily you have your umbrella. Your colleague forgot hers. It keeps raining the entire day and in the evening you hear that the public transport has come to a halt due to the downpour. Your colleague cannot go to her home so you invite her to spend the night at your house. She accepts your invitation.

Both of you reach your home wet to the bone and you go to change clothes. You give her a pair of clothes to change into. She asks you whether she can send an email to her parents. You give her your laptop. When you come back, you notice she has just put on your shirt and is going through your recently downloaded stash of echi anime pics (which you forgot to move from your desktop).

She: "Oh, so you're such a type of person, eh?"

The Scenario 137 - Camping Trip

You go on a camping trip to your favourite nearby wildlife reserve. You have a secret spot (a cave) there and you need to go through it through a series of winding paths that only you know. It takes you almost a day to reach the cave. You unpack your belongings and go out to the nearby stream to fetch water. You reach the stream and see that the water is not enough. It has not rained that hard this year. SO you decide to go a little further up. Some time later you come across this girl.

She says she's an angel and will grant you anything you desire. In return she will ask you your most loved possession.

What do you say? What do you do?

The Scenario Series!

Made this blog so that I could continue with posting "The Scenario" series for members of DannyChoo.com! I have a feeling (hope its not true) that members of DannyChoo will not be able to post any more stuff there except on FigureFM which was originally for figure related stuff only and posting anime news or anything else on it such as stuff like this would be quite odd.

Site is marked as adult since there will be echi 2d stuff posted here without any warnings. Will try to hide the echi part with some script hopefully.

The Scenario series will start off from when member posting got stopped on dc.
The previous scenarios might be lost or may be available through google's cache.
Since there are more than a hundred of them I will not take the trouble to find them out and post here [ofcourse, since i'm the king of laziness ;)] and also since trying to do that might be copying something from Danny's site which is not good.

I will post the series from where it stopped on DC.com i.e. 136 was the last one.
I will also start the Wet Wednesday series here on my blog, plus any more i can think of.

Originally thought of buying a domain and hosting, but costs are prohibitive for bandwidth and webspace. So will go along with the free guys and upgrade after I run out of space here.

Hope you people enjoy coming to my site and will visit more often from now onwards!

Edit: Just in case Danny decides to let members post stuff on his site again, i will repost the stuff posted here there too.
